Today it’s time to take a look at Buffer’s content marketing strategy. A couple of months ago, I wrote an article about Buffer‘s success with content marketing. If you don’t know what Buffer is, I am going to tell you. It is a social media management platform, which is really helpful for companies that have to manage a lot of different social media networks. Buffer makes it easy for social media people to post on different networks just from one place.

What is Content Look?

Content Look is a new tool developed by Squirrly, which helps you find any loopholes you might have in your content marketing strategy, and it also tells you how to fix these issues. Creating a powerful content strategy has never been easier! Content Look also gives you the possibility to send the report to your content writers, web developers, or SEO specialists. Enough talking, I’d better show you what the new tool is all about.

So how is Buffer’s content marketing strategy?

Buffer’s score is 78 out of 100. You can see that Content Look analyses 6 main areas of your website: blogging, traffic, SEO, social, links, and authority. After you see what your score is, you can go ahead and see what you’re missing, and how you can fix those loopholes. Let’s see what Buffer needs to fix.

You can see that in terms of blogging, Buffer needs to work on optimizing their content. You are also told why this task is important for you to solve, and what benefits will it bring to your website, and ultimately to your business. Then, by clicking on “learn how to do it yourself”, it will take you to an article where you are told how you can complete that task.

The traffic, links, and authority categories are all completed, which is a really good thing. Buffer has really good traffic on their website. People love their website, and this is shown by the fact that so many people link back to them. Their Google Page Rank is 6, which is also really good.

Wake up with new leads from the content you publish.

The only things they could improve are adding long tail keywords, social “follow me” buttons on their homepage, NoFollow links, Canonical Link, Copyright Meta, and the DcPublisher Meta tag.
