Links, both internal and external, are the streets between pages, used by search engines that crawl the web. They aren’t everything in SEO, but they are very important. Through links engines can analyze the popularity of a website and webpage, and determine which pages are trustworthy, spam-free and their authority. External links, also known as outbound links <span style=”color: #191919;”>are those links that link outside of your domain to websites on the internet. Many web designers and content authors use them because they improve the credibility of your site or page and offer additional valuable information for your users. If you are not an expert in your domain, you can link to another one’s site, which will give users professional information. If your site proves credible and informative, people will come back to it and refer it further.</span>

You should do this, because you want to offer your user only valuable information, and because you lose SEO Juice (Authority) according to the number of links.

As they point to an external website, they are good for ranking power, they also pass “link juice” differently than the internal links, because they are considered by search engines as third-party votes. They are the best way for search engines to determine the popularity of a given page.

Whenever adding external links, you should take into account how trustworthy the linking domain is, how popular the linking page, if the content there is relevant and valuable, not too add to many, and the ownership relationship between the source and target domains
