Making sure your business has a strong presence on social media websites has never been so important. From Tweets to Facebook posts, everything needs to be done right because even the smallest details matter. Regardless of how large or small your business is, Facebook presence is a must. If you already have a Facebook page that is advertising your products and services, then you are halfway there. However, you need to make sure you set up and run the page in such a manner as to ensure current clients can interact with you, while also managing to draw in new fans.
Here are some useful pointers that should help you improve brand awareness and increase your Facebook fan base:
1. Write Short, Engaging Posts
This might seem tricky at first, but you will easily get the hang of it. If you cannot pack your message in a short format, then try giving questions a chance. Polls are another great idea. Remember to keep it short and ask your fans to participate in the discussion. It will make them feel involved and reassure them that their opinions matter.
Keep in mind that today’s web users generally have a short attention span and like to scan content. If you think that lengthy posts can still be useful, then check out what Forbes has to say about this. According to them, Facebook posts that are too long will not succeed in getting you the likes, comments and shares you want.
2. Accompany Facebook Posts With Distinctive Images
Remember the old saying: ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’? Well, this definitely applies when it comes to posting on social media sites. Your post’s narrative could be a simple emoticon and it would still get a lot of attention if the photo is eye-catching. Try combining humor with relevancy. A funny and thought-provoking photo will not only brighten your fans’ day, but it will also give them a reason to share it, thus advertising your brand.

3. Don’t Disregard Calls To Action
Sometimes being nice and asking is all it takes to boost your Facebook page’s traffic. Simply ask your fans to share your post if they found it relevant and agree with it. Remember to also say ‘Please’. A study performed in 2014 showed that being courteous with your fans and being nice when asking them to share your posts can almost double the number of likes, comments and shares the posts will get.
4. Show Your Clients They Matter
Wake up with new leads from the content you publish.
Put in some extra effort at least once a week to see if you can find online mentions of your products or services. If you can find blog posts that mention your brand, then it would be best to write some Facebook posts that offer acknowledgment and show you are grateful. Make sure you thank your customers and offer links to the blog posts or websites you find.
5. Offer Exclusive Discounts & Information
What better way to show your fans their likes matter than to offer them exclusive prizes? Try including promotional codes into your posts or offering special giveaways. This will stimulate discussion and might even make some of your clients want to share the news on their profiles.
Managing your business’s Facebook page might seem time consuming at first, but the long-term benefits are definitely worth it. Put enough time and effort into your Facebook posts and you will not only increase your sales and traffic, but your client base and likability as well.
