As 2025 comes to an end, I want to say a sincere thank you for being part of the WP Ghost community.
Whether you used WP Ghost daily or tried it once and moved on, your trust and feedback helped shape the plugin into something stronger, safer, and easier to use.
Here are the most important improvements we shipped this year:
What’s new in WP Ghost in 2025

1) A redesigned Dashboard with clearer security visibility (both on cloud app and in the plugin)

- Email Alerts log report, so you can quickly review what WP Ghost has been doing in the background

2) Major Two-Factor Authentication upgrades
- Each user can choose their preferred 2FA method directly in their profile
- Passkey and fingerprint support for faster, more secure logins

3) Stronger Brute Force protection and better real-world accuracy
- Security improvements to the Brute Force feature
- More reliable real IP detection behind proxies, improving block/allow decisions

4) Improved firewalls and safer verification
- Upgraded 7G and 8G Firewall logic for more stable protection
- Security hardening for sensitive WordPress endpoints

5) Geo-Blocking improvements
- Updated GeoIP Country database used by Geo-Blocking, improving country-level accuracy
