You need to place rel=”nofollow” to all Outbound links.
Outbound links are URLs from 3rd party sites, to which you are linking to. If you send links to wikipedia, facebook, jamie oliver, etc. without mentioning “nofollow”, then you are also sending them the authority you are trying to build up for your own site.
That’s really bad, and makes your pages unable to rank high enough. Because some links are hard for Non-SEO Experts to turn to “nofollow” we recommend a plugin that does this for you.
